Today's Gratitude Item: My 9th grade Math class are going on a field trip tomorrow which means we get a bit of a break from each other (this is a good thing).

Fern Shade

Simple but hopefully effective.

Fern Shade

Today's Gratitude Item: Finding an easy to follow set of tutorials that are helpful when learning C#. Also helpful is the fact that at least some of the syntax is reminiscent of php (commenting and the need to put semi-colons at the end of each line are common to both languages).

Fire Funnel

Is it just me or is this one slightly ominous?

Fire Funnel

Today's Gratitude Item: That options evening went really well. It will be interesting to see how many students choose my subject for next year...

I'm pretty sure we have been here before. Repeatedly.

Spiral Check

Today's Gratitude Item: Having someone else take care of the 'little' things which sometimes are not so little.

Shimmer Web

If this is the web, what does the spider look like?

Shimmer Web

Today's Gratitude Item: Finally submitting my second Uni assignment. Two down, one more to go. Only problem is that the last one is the big one (worth 60% of our final grade).

Crescent Rose

Sometimes disc designs are good.

Crescent Rose

The wallpaper version is available at the preceding link.

Today's Gratitude Item: That Winter Warm-up went well - mostly due to the fact that one of my dancers brought her computer / speakers as a back up 'just in case'. Without said backup we would have been up 'that' creek without a paddle (long story).

Blue Sun

Made in the car on the way to work (way back when I had a car pool buddy who happened to be driving while I 'worked').

Today's Gratitude Item: Finally getting my CV updated! Needless to say, the hunt for work closer to home continues...

Today's Gratitude Item: Figuring out how to quickly highlight text in Moodle when there is no obvious tool to do so. A tiny bit of html / css was required.

Solar Eclipse v2

This one did not turn out as well as hoped.

Solar Eclipse v2

Today's Gratitude Item: Finding out that sliding downwards with three fingers on my laptop will show my desktop. This is a cool Windows 10 / laptop multi-touch gesture that I did not know about until I saw one of my senior students showing it to a classmate.

Solid Upholstery

As in it looks like old fashioned upholstery fabric.

Solid Upholstery

Today's Gratitude Item: Finally having a decent day over at Shutterstock. Let's just say that in recent months things have been far quieter than I'd like...

The colours of this one required a fair bit of tweaking.

Spiral Stare Case

Today's Gratitude Item: Getting updated contact information for a site I maintain without the anticipated pain of tracking down said information. It magically appeared in my inbox courtesy of one of my contacts which saved me a bit of time and stress.

Interesting Squared

This one is somewhere between a flower and a weird web.

Interesting Squared

Today's Gratitude Item: I'm considering switching schools for next year which means that the hunt for a new job is on. Fortunately my Uni lecturer is happy to act as a reference. Now 'all' I need to do is dust off my CV, update it and find a suitable position. I believe the term 'Oy Vey' applies.

This one turned out better than expected.

Today's Gratitude Item: Getting an A grade on the first assignment for my Uni Course. It's a case of 'one down, two more to go'...

Geometrix

For some reason this one makes me very happy.

Geometrix

The wallpaper version is available at the preceding link.

Today's Gratitude Item: Getting some worries off my chest. My school has made some decisions that I don't agree with when it comes to courses for next year. At least the DP was willing to listen to what I had to say. It will be interesting to see if anything changes (I'm not holding my breath though).

Odd Flower

Zooming in to just part of this fractal did the trick.

Odd Flower

Today's Gratitude Item: Having spare batteries in the cupboard for my iPad keyboard which died quite suddenly at some point yesterday. Things are all working again now which is great.

Flower Tile

The negative flower in the middle of the tile was the main reason that this one got rendered.

Flower Tile

Today's Gratitude Item: Not being the only one to post dodgy usability examples in the Usability FB page I administer. For a while there it felt like I was the only one experiencing bad usability on a regular basis.
